About This Spot

Walking into Tiki West Raw Bar and Grill feels like stepping into a lively coastal retreat nestled in the heart of Tavares. The atmosphere hums with a friendly energy—part neighborhood gathering spot, part laid-back sports bar, all wrapped up in the easy rhythm of good company and great food. There’s a casual buzz here that invites you to settle in, whether you’re perched at the bar catching a game or sharing a table with friends after a day exploring the town.

The pace is unhurried but spirited, striking a balance that lets you savor moments as they unfold. Conversations blend with the clink of glasses and the subtle sizzle from the kitchen, creating an ambiance that feels both familiar and welcoming. It’s a place where locals drop by after the bars close, where sports fans and seafood lovers come together, and where even first-time visitors find something to like in the warmth of genuine hospitality.

Eating here is less about ticking boxes and more about embracing the simple pleasures of the sea. The menu draws you in effortlessly—from the satisfying experience of peeling your own shrimp to the delight of smoky, chargrilled oysters that carry a whisper of fire and salt air. Platters arrive brimming with just-caught flavors and comforting twists, like creamy lobster mac and cheese or crispy coconut shrimp that pair perfectly with a cold beer or an ice-chilled cocktail. It’s seafood done with a sense of ease and affection, where every bite is a reminder of why this spot feels like a hidden gem.

The service flows with a relaxed teamwork style, as a handful of friendly faces seem to orbit your table, adding a dynamic but unforced rhythm to the meal. You get the sense that this is a place where staff members aren’t just doing a job—they’re part of cultivating an experience you’ll want to return to, where stories are shared, recommendations are given with heart, and even a crash course in oysters becomes part of the evening’s charm.

Tiki West Raw Bar and Grill doesn’t rush, it doesn’t boast, but in its easygoing way, it invites you to slow down and enjoy the simple, vivid moments—good food, good company, and the unmistakable feeling of belonging somewhere just right.

When I tell you this place is a hidden gem.. oh my. I’ve tried several items including the brussels, hand-breaded mahi, crab legs, clams, quesadillas and all have been amazing. I crave this place and give it nothing but 10 stars. You won’t be disappointed!

Great staff! Reasonable prices. Nice specials. It must be the go to place to eat after visiting some of the bars. The peel and eat shrimp were only $9.99 for a pound! The shrimp were large and perfect! We dined in and sat at the bar, we saw others from other bars come in to grab a bite.

T-H-E BEST place to go for Oysters - period. Alot of restaurants try to make up for their cheaper food prices on the beer and mixers. Not here. The people who work here are really awesome and frankly I couldn't recommend a better place to go out and eat. Daily specials with Tuesdays being the best. Man do I love their Oysters and the price is sooooooo

Really great oysters! Clean, no grit and tasty oysters! The char-grilled and fried too! Homemade tartar sauce was delicious. The owner came by and gave us a crash course on them too! Tavarres is a cool town with lots to offer and this place is right in the middle

Our food was delicious and came out fairly quickly. They do something slightly different as far as servers go though. A group of them serve an area so you may have three or four different ones in one dining experience. By the way the oysters and the cheese wedges are especially amazing.

The food here is always great. Ask for Kodie as your server. She does a great job. The Truffle Fries are the best I’ve ever had anywhere on the planet. The peel and eat shrimp are steamed perfectly. Try the “Don’t Be Shellfish”. It’s the best chicken you might ever try.
